Public art commission | O’Connell Street, Limerick

Limerick City and County Council has announced details of a competition for a public art installation on O’Connell Street, Limerick. Proposals are being sought from individual artists, collaborations, collective responses, and interdisciplinary practices. It is intended that the commissioned artwork will be part of the O’Connell Street development works. The commission value is up to €500,000 including VAT.

A briefing meeting about the commission will take place on 19 August in Istabraq Hall, Limerick City Hall at 4pm. The briefing will be filmed and posted online.

Deadline

All entrants must register by 12 noon on Thursday 12 September 2019. Unregistered submissions will not be considered.

The submission date for all registered entries is 12 noon, Monday 16 September 2019.

Nazareth Housing Association provides independent living houses for individuals and couples who are 65 and over and on the Sligo County Council housing list.  Nazareth Village is comprised of 48 houses in a garden setting.  The Village was financed as a public-private partnership between Nazareth Housing Association and Sligo County Council with funding from the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
