Public art commission | Southgate Roundabouts Meath

Drogheda Tidy Towns invites artists to submit proposals for a highly visible, art/sculpture piece for the Southgate Roundabouts at Colpe in East Meath. The art/sculpture should capture the essence of Southgate as the gateway to the mythical Boyne Valley and the historic walled and gated town of Drogheda. The art/sculpture proposal incorporates both roundabouts at the Southgate/Colpe Cross junction on the R132.

Budget

The total budget for the commission is €80,000 inclusive of VAT, artists fee, all materials and works, engineers’ costs for the artworks (where applicable), insurance, installation costs.

Brief

Nazareth Housing Association provides independent living houses for individuals and couples who are 65 and over and on the Sligo County Council housing list.  Nazareth Village is comprised of 48 houses in a garden setting.  The Village was financed as a public-private partnership between Nazareth Housing Association and Sligo County Council with funding from the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
