The Board of Management of St. Mary’s Knockbeg College invite professional artists at any stage of their career or with any level of experience to submit applications for the commission of two separate pieces of art to be installed within the college chapel. The commissions are a stained glass window on the east wall of the chapel and a decorative screen to sanctuary within the college chapel. The commissions are funded under the Per Cent for Art scheme, funded by the Department of Education and Skills.

Budget
The total budget for each commission is €30,000, This includes the costs of any materials, artist’s fees, design development, artists’ insurance, supply and installation, signage, travel, and any other costs incurred in the production of the project / artwork including VAT.

Brief
Separate parallel selection competitions will be held for each commission. There will be a two-stage application process for each commission. Artists who wish to be considered for both commissions should separately fill in both application forms. A concept development fee of €500 will be payable to shortlisted applicants.
