Per cent for art commission | Hedgestown National School, Lusk, Co Dublin

Hedgestown National School in Lusk, County Dublin, invites expressions of interest from artists for a Per Cent for Art Scheme commission for their new primary school funded by the Department of Education and Science.

The artwork is to be located inside the main entrance on a wall spanning circa 6 meters in length. The artwork should draw creative inspiration from the local area, specifically the heritage of the original Hedgestown School which was a hunting lodge during the 1860s.

Budget

The total budget for the commission is €34,300, including all artist expenses and VAT.

Nazareth Housing Association provides independent living houses for individuals and couples who are 65 and over and on the Sligo County Council housing list.  Nazareth Village is comprised of 48 houses in a garden setting.  The Village was financed as a public-private partnership between Nazareth Housing Association and Sligo County Council with funding from the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
