Commission of a “life size” bronze sculpture of Bishop William O’Higgins at Drumlish, Co Longford

The Bishop William O’Higgins Heritage Project committee wishes to commission an artist to create a “life size” bronze sculpture to commemorate the life and achievements of Bishop William O’Higgins. The sculpture must be nuanced to reflect the events of his life and times and in addition speak to the Ireland of the 21st century. O’Higgins must be identifiable as from the portrait photo provided on the Request for Tender document. The sculpture will be located beside Drumlish Church (carpark) which fronts onto St. Mary Street on the R198 which is the main route from Longford Town (12 kilometres) to Cavan. Barraghbeg.
