Per cent for art commission | children's book, CBS Ennis

Writers and/or illustrators are invited to submit proposals for a children's book for CBS Primary School in Ennis.

The Public Art Working Group of CBS Ennis are delighted to commission, through the Per Cent for Art scheme associated with their new school, a children's book. Literature, and a love of books, play an integral role in the school, with ongoing engagement with the local library for author's visits and literary activity. The new building houses a state-of-the-art library, the first time the school has such an in-house facility, and there is great excitement about this by pupils and staff alike.

The commissioning of a children's book is the central element to the commission but the school is also interested in suggestions for other art projects that may accompany the book. Such ideas will be developed at the second stage of the commissioning process.
