Public art commission | commemorative sculpture Kildare

Kildare County Council wish to commission a a public art commemorative sculpture in Kildare town, that acknowledges Kildare was the first county to win the Sam Maguire cup, captained by Bill 'Squires' Gannon.

The budget is €80,000 and is inclusive of all artworks including a plinth, artist’s fees, documentation costs, travel, materials, design, fabrication, transport, machine-hire, insurance and all other costs associated with the creation, delivery and overseeing of the installation of the artwork.

Deadline

  • Stage 1: Friday 22 November 2019, 12 noon
  • Stage 2: Tuesday 7 January 2020, 12 noon

Applicants short-listed to Stage 2 to be notified on Tuesday 26 November 2019. (Maximum of 4 artists invited to submit to Stage 2)

Nazareth Housing Association provides independent living houses for individuals and couples who are 65 and over and on the Sligo County Council housing list.  Nazareth Village is comprised of 48 houses in a garden setting.  The Village was financed as a public-private partnership between Nazareth Housing Association and Sligo County Council with funding from the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
