Per cent for art commission | St. Mary’s BNS Maynooth

St. Mary’s Boys’ National School in Maynooth invite artists in all art form disciplines and practice to submit expressions of interest to work with the school community, on a commission to mark the construction of a new three-storey, 24 classroom school building and special needs unit. The commission may include artists-in-residence programmes, commissioning of artwork (temporary and permanent) across art forms and include digital media, and may include collaborative work practice.

The commission is funded under the Per Cent for Art scheme, funded by the Department of Education and Skills.

The budget is €49,000, to include all costs associated with the commission.

Nazareth Housing Association provides independent living houses for individuals and couples who are 65 and over and on the Sligo County Council housing list.  Nazareth Village is comprised of 48 houses in a garden setting.  The Village was financed as a public-private partnership between Nazareth Housing Association and Sligo County Council with funding from the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
