Per Cent for Art commission | Douglas Library Cork

Cork City Council Library Service supported by Cork City Arts Office invite artist(s) to submit proposals for a project to mark the reconstruction and re-opening of the library in Douglas Village. The commissioners are particularly interested in submissions that reflect or respond to the legacy of the local industry and its workers, particularly in relation to textiles.

Budget

The total budget for the project is €6,000 including VAT, expenses and materials.

Project brief

Nazareth Housing Association provides independent living houses for individuals and couples who are 65 and over and on the Sligo County Council housing list.  Nazareth Village is comprised of 48 houses in a garden setting.  The Village was financed as a public-private partnership between Nazareth Housing Association and Sligo County Council with funding from the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
