Description

PRECAST was an exhibition structured as an hour-long performative event set in the environs of Robin Hood Gardens and Preston's Road roundabout, in Blackwall, East London in September and October 2012. The event drew on cinema, sculpture, music and performance, knotting material and immaterial circuits, replaying past and present 'signals' to create points of constructive and destructive interference. The site-specific performance in East London was scripted for five performers incorporating a clip-board, a PA system, hi-vis vests, a megaphone with built-in mp3 player, USB stick, sound recordings, walkie-talkies, lanyards, portable CD player, CD, image placed as advertising in the Tower Hamlets Council newsletter, portable busker amplifier, iPod, a re-edited version of 'Love is a Stranger' by Eurythmics, plywood elements, a rented white van, bunting, blackout material, duct tape, timber and fixings.
