The first part to be completed denotes the present and is physically represented by an already existing ancient site of stone mounds of which an additional one was constructed by the artist on 6/6/2006. This is located on Kilronan mountain, over looking the town of Keadue in Co. Roscommon. Stone does not betray its age in this context so the ‘new’ mound could therefore have been built today or at anytime in the past.  

The second site which represents the past is located at the hill of Sheemore in Co. Leitrim, the site of a megalithic cairn. The landmark white cross which is illuminated at night was placed on top of this cairn in 1950. It was illuminated red for one night only by the artist on 7/7/2007. Now firmly an event and memory of the past for those who saw and hear about it.

The third and final future aspect and location was revealed on the projects website on the 8/8/2008 with the laying of the foundation stones for a viewing point over looking the past and present sites. Located at the final turn in the roadway leading to the Wind Farm on Kilronan mountain, where an ideal expanse naturally exists for the erection of a further stone mound. The final size and scale of which will be determined by the public, who it is hoped by the artist, will collectively and anonymously build it over time by stone, rock or one pebble at a time. Regardless of this outcome, by using your imagination from this point you can glimpse perhaps a millisecond or more into your future and in so doing gain a perspective of another kind. From there, with the aid of these physical time markers, you should be more able to experience a more objective view of your place in the thread of time.

Stephen Rennicks (b. 1972) is an artist now based in Co. Leitrim, Ireland. Some pieces to date include the year long Junk out of Context (2004 - 2005) which explored the audio and video stock of Dublin charity shops; Trains for the Blind (2004), a sound piece released in conjunction with the ESB Dublin Fringe festival; a six month Secret Residency at Dublin Airport during 2005; Imagine Black Lough (2006) installation at The Dock, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim; his debut solo show With & Without Context at Mantua Project, Co. Roscommon in 2007; his three year in the making land art piece 666777888 completed in 2008; the moment concerned Deeper into Nothing (2009) and How to Disappear (2010) which was shown during the Boyle Arts Festival, Co. Roscommon in July 2010. For this latter project he was supported with an artist bursary by Leitrim County Council. He took part in the TRADE 2011 residency programme, run jointly by Leitrim and Roscommon County Council Arts Offices, led that year by the artist David Michalek. One of the projects to emerge from this was One Minute Residency.
