Building Material 19

Author:

The Architectural Association of Ireland

Description:

Building Material is the journal of the Architectural Association of Ireland. The theme of Building Material 19 is Art & Architecture. It features writing by Grace Weir, Dara McGrath, Matthew Beattie and Eamon O'Kane; works by Corban Walker, Maud Cotter and Clancy Moore Architects; and interviews with Thomas Demand and Moritz Küng.

Building Material is the sole, peer-reviewed, contemporary discourse on critical practice and scholarship in architecture in Ireland. Current thinking on architecture is explored thematically and critically evaluated in each issue, with analysis and ideas presented in light of related or overlapping disciplines. Developments, research and innovation in both practice and theory are thus posited and explored within the broader cultural context, reflecting the cultural, professional and scholastic position of contemporary architecture and architectural thinking within Ireland.

It is available at a price from the The Architecture Association of Ireland and various retail outlets including the bookshop of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, Merrion Square, The National Gallery of Ireland bookshop, Noble and Beggarman Books, South William Street, Dublin 2; PLACE Centre for Architecture Belfast; The Winding Stair Bookshop, Ormonde Quay, Dublin 2. PDF copies of past editions of Building Material are available on The Architectural Association of Ireland's website.
