Per cent for art commission | Salmon Weir Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge Galway

Galway City Council, under the Per Cent for Art Scheme, invites expressions of interest from artists for the creation of a new artwork to be situated at the new Salmon Weir Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge. Proposals are welcome from both individuals and collaborative artistic teams. The commission is open to all artforms including visual arts, literature, music, theatre, digital arts, performance, live art, multimedia, video art, sound art, socially engaged, participatory and research based..

Budget

The total budget for the artwork is up to €47,750 inclusive of artist fee, VAT, labour, and materials.

17:00, Wednesday 19 July 2023.

Brief

Nazareth Housing Association provides independent living houses for individuals and couples who are 65 and over and on the Sligo County Council housing list.  Nazareth Village is comprised of 48 houses in a garden setting.  The Village was financed as a public-private partnership between Nazareth Housing Association and Sligo County Council with funding from the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
